Carville wanted Kerry, then he wrote a book calling him a bad candidate |
|
because he was "wishy washy."
Screw Carville, he's lived with his Republican strategist wife so long he's been brainwashed. He's no longer relevant.

1. Carville wanted Kerry? Where did you get this one? He did not want Dean, I agree. |
|
It certainly does not mean he wanted Kerry.

3. He and Begalia said it almost daily on Crossfire. "John Kerry would |
|
be a good candidate." He also went to work for him late in the campaign.

5. He never worked on the campaign and certainly not during the primary. |
|
He jumped on board in feb 2004, when it became clear Kerry would win the primary, but he certainly did not want Kerry. He made that clear time and time again.

2. Carville didn't want Kerry |
|
He never liked him and spent the entire campaign moaning that Kerry was so un-Clintonlike. Carville on CNN bashed Bush daily but then complained about the Kerry campaign - which didn't help.

4. He propped him up on CNN's crossfire when Dean was ahead in the |
|
primary polls on a regular basis.

9. He and Begalia floated his name as a good candidate on a regular |
|
basis. Perhaps he wanted someone else to run, but once we Dean was gaining, he propped Kerry as an alternative.

though they flirted with Clark a little until they didn't like him either. Even after Kerry had several major wins, Carville was speculating that he could still be tripped up and it would go to a brokered convention, where ..... Hillary would be chosen.
About the only time I remember them praising Kerry was after a few of the debates, the Rassman reunion and occasionally when they called Bush out for not fighting in Vietnam they mentioed Kerry was a war hero.
But even after he got the nomination they whined that he wasn't like Bill Clinton.

12. Kerry was never a bad candidate. It was a lie created to blame him |

for a lot of other peoples shortcomings. Kerry, made mistakes, but he never allowed Bush to claim the delusional mandate he did. Kerry energized the young base and they came out and continue to come out and vote for Democrats. He managed to receive more votes than Clinton each time he ran. And contrary to what the "insiders" want you to believe and spread around, Kerry's loss wasn't due to a gaff or a flub, it was due to the IRAQ WAR,and it was this same war that allowed us to be so successful this time around.
Kerry warned us about what was to come in 04, the public was frightened into believing the administration and hadn't seen enough tragedy or incompetence to change horses in mid-stream. Now, it is a damn shame that some in our party and the media want to silence him and not give him credit for his vision of what was to come to pass. Imagine how much better off all of us would of been if Kerry had won?
