5. Sort of, but they're both alpha males. And the VP slot is a waste of a great man.
Ain't worth a pitcher of warm spit...or whatever that saying is.

28. They are both alpa males, however Al Gore
did quite well in subjugating his own pride and ambitions in accepting Clinton's invitation to be his running mate, in spite of his own low opinion of the job. I believe Al did this out of a stronger conviction to serve the nation over his own desires or ego. Personally whenever I viewed a shot of Clinton giving his State of the Union or some other event in front of the cameras and Al was behind him, I thought they should be reversed.

I believe General Clark is capable of the same magnanimity and if Al asked him to be his running mate, I believe the he would accept.

4. Some people
support more than one candidate in the hope that one of them will make it to the nomination. You can only vote for one though. :)

7. Of the two, my preference would be for Clark...
While Gore has been trotting around the world on environmental issues, Wes Clark has been traveling the country pitching in wherever Dems needed help.

He towers over Gore in: Experience, education, ability, planning capability, and so much more.

33. I like Clark,
but can you honestly say that all of his actions in helping Democrats have been entirely optimistic? Might not he have been helping Democrats as well as aiding his own presidential aspirations?

9. Clark. Impeccable national security credentials to win
in red states (much like Jim Webb) combined with progressive social agenda.

10. Simple solution
Gore/Clark

Unfortunately I think Hillary has Clark in mind as her running mate. No proof, just a feeling.

12. Why? I never bought into this idea
Clark is from Arkansas, a state the Hillary advisers must feel that they have a chance in. Out west, Hillary has nada. Clark at the top of the ticket would do well in the West, but not so much as VP.

Hillary will chose the standard route to VP...someone with a state, and someone who could succeed her.

13. Could it be you got that feeling from
watching that shortlived tv series in where the woman President had a 4 start General who was described as close to Wes Clark as possible to be her VP? Is that possible?

25. Description....found in wikipedia under fictional character of Warren Keaton...LOL!
Comparison to Wesley Clark
Like General Wesley Clark, Keaton is a former general who attended West Point. Clark ran for President in 2004 as a Democrat and was considered a potential Vice-Presidential candidate after his primary bid failed.

15. I'll vote for the guy who has never rolled over for the GOP
I like Al Gore, but he jumped off my list of possible candidates when he allowed Harris and Baker and Rove to steal the Florida election (and passed up winning it outright by refusing to acknowledge his debt to Clinton).

Likewise, Kerry will not be my candidate.

There are too many OTHER great Dem candidates out there who have never rolled over for the GOP noise machine. Clark is one of them. I could support Wesley wholeheartedly, and hope to have the chance to.

22. Well I gotta say that Gore fought really hard, all the way to the supreme court.
I do think he should have pointed out, however, the fact that the GOP disenfranchised African Americans in order to steal the election. He recoiled from that. But he fought hard, while getting almost no support from the Dems.

Gore has way too much baggage to be elected. I have moderate friends who still say "Gore? Didn't he invent the internet ha ha ha" GRRR.

Anyway, he would make a great cabinet member in Clark's administration.

Gore is probably the only candidate I would be ok with voting for above the General in the election. Clark gets my primary vote though for sure.
