Why do we have a DNC ,a DSCC, and a DCCC? |

Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 11:21 PM by Old and In the Way
Why aren't the DSCC and the DCCC functioning units under the auspices of the DNC? Wouldn't it make more sense to have these 2 bodies working under the control of the DNC? Seems to me there must be a lot of duplication of effort and inefficiencies, as well as a kingdom complex that allows the 3 bodies to go to war with each other.

1. Two are for candidates and one is for the Party |

That is essentially what it comes down to. The DSCC and the DCCC exist to promote individual candidates and the DNC is for party building as a whole. I don't think there is a lot of overlap really. Someone with more insider knowledge than I will probably come along and correct any misconceptions I have.

2. Dunno, but one thing is for sure |

We do not need and have NEVER needed, a DLC. And they seem to be the ones controlling the two four letter abbreviations as well. They should all be under the DNC umbrella, and let the elected leader of this party delegate the candidate searches to those who GET the whole idea of the 50 state strategy, and don't continue to ridicule it even after the biggest congressional landslide in decades.
