Man, that Randy "Duke" Cunningham cried like a baby when he |
|
was sentenced. Recently, in covering the GOP Corruption in Washington the media used some footage of him at a press conference after he was found guilty and he was blubbering like a baby.
Anyone know the clip I am talking about? Guess he thought his good ole boy buddies would be able to save his ass.
Wow. He was bawlin'

5. If you ever watch the History Channel - |
|
They have a show about the greatest fighter pilots. He is on there. He was a great fighter pilot.
I know the clip you are talking about.
I am sure not one of his "political fans" - but I'll tell you, it is so very sad to me to watch him talk about the war and how he did those things and know what he became now.

The character "Viper" was based on "Duke, I believe. Duke was the first CO of Top Gun.

Supposedly he did the N Viet Nam ace, too.
I don't think that kill was confirmed, though. But that guy sure diappeared after that engagement.
He was definately one of the only aces to come from the war on our side.
He really should have quit right then. He sure won't be remembered as great now - he would have been.

Not about the crying, about the corruption. Randy Cunningham was a genuine war hero, who, like so many others, served his country with honor. It's a total shame that the Repugnican culture of greed and corruption infected him. Now, instead of being a hero, he's just another fucking convict in the federal pen.
