If George Sr's people are really going to run the WH will Rove be fired? |
|
I'm curious how much "change" there will really be. Sr fired rove's butt before, will he do it again?
MY opinion I don't believe he will get canned.

1. While Rove Is A Survivor, He Isn't Infallible |
|
as the GOP learned to its sorrow last week...
I think he can use blackmail, threaten to tell all to Fitz if anybody moves against him, at least short term, but I wouldn't be in Rove's shoes for anything. He'd better think of finding a pied-a-terre (just not in Paraguay).

9. Look how quick they got rid of Rummy, can we hope for |
|
another Saturday Night Massacre? Rice will be an interesting subject in this scenerio since Daddy Bush said something on Larry King about how she was a bit of a disappointment to him.
How clever was G. H. W. when he was Pres.? Smarter than son but he had skeletons in his closet and was a weak leader. OK, he took the advice of Scowcroft (sp?) and Baker, but the history of the events leading up to Saddam going into Kuiwait is still in doubt. What did the U.S. Ambassador have to do with Saddam believing he had the blessings of the U.S. to act? There were questions then about the U.S. having advanced knowledge of him moving into the area - and what did Bush do to try to stop him?
The decisions made by these "new thinkers" (bush's new brains) are bound to be interesting. Surely they won't get too frisky since the Dems take control of Congress shortly, you know, subpoena power and all.

He's nothing but a bully and a propagandist for Bush. Who is in charge? Poppy is and it always has been. Even when Rove worked for Poppy, Poppy was still in charge. People have this whole fake idea that Rove is a genius but he's not. He's nothing but a tool.

4. They need to re-separate campaigning and governing |
|
Bush's "24/7 campaign government" has failed.
Most presidents get rid of the campaigner once they enter governance mode.
It's time to lose Karl Rove.

7. Poppy likely blames Rove for a good part of Dubya's mess |
|
They won't fire him outright, since he can talk. But I'm sure they will be working to marginalize him as much as possible.

Rove was a traitor to Poppy so that's the only reason. Poppy likes loyalty just like junior.

10. He'll be downgraded from "Presidential advisor" to "Campaign consultant" |
|
They'll keep him around, he'll be useful getting Jeb elected, but they won't make the mistake again of letting him have imput on policy.

he's been in charge all a long. While people are saying it's Cheney in charge just take a look at a number of things that shows Poppy in charge. All of the people in his administration comes from Bush41 and who does he protect? The Saudi's.
