Bush: Nation Should Be Proud Elections Were Held in Time of War
Over the weekend President Bush gave his first weekly radio address since the mid-term elections. He said the country should be proud that the elections were held even though the county is in a war.

* President Bush: "One freedom that defines our way of life is the freedom to choose our leaders at the ballot box. We saw that freedom earlier this week, when millions of Americans went to the polls to cast their votes for a new Congress. Whatever your opinion of the outcome, all Americans can take pride in the example our democracy sets for the world by holding elections even in a time of war."

Whoaa Boy now we are being told were lucky to have elections? Does this mean he was just that close to canceling the elections or he plans to cancel them before he leaves office so he can become King! What does that statement sound like to you? It was pretty chilling to hear it on Democracynow this morning!

October 17, 2006,Will be remembered as the Enabling day of the 21st Century!
"The government will make use of these powers only insofar as they are essential for carrying out vitally necessary measures..."
~Adolf Hitler, March 23, 1933, before the German Parliament (Reichstag) as he urged them to pass his "Enabling Act"

Got Fascism Yet?

1. I still maintain they were all tee'ed up for the big play
But then didn't have what it takes to make it when it came show time. Either that or Daddy told him no.

5. Bingo
Bush is well known for Freudian slips... this was just another. I think there was another Gulf of Tonkin false flag op just waiting to go... and Daddy or someone said no. And now we have comments like this one from George which only confirm that not holding elections was a possibility.

3. pretty scary, but not a suprise.
its the NEXT one i'd be worried about. they are certain to be facing a crushing defeat at the polls in 2008 and they know it. bush would happily 'postphone' elections if he thought it would keep him and his ilk in power, using some 'crisis' as an excuse, though i expect about the only crisis that MIGHT 'justify' such a ploy would be a nuclear explosion on us soil. and even then, how LONG would they be able to play such a game? not long i expect. seems to me its a losing scenario for them, though it would likely appeal to their 'act first, deal with the consequences later' mindset that has put the us where it is today.
