Riverside County voters are to blame-"interference"
check out the last paragraph of this answer to my complaint about the mess in Riverside(freeperside ) Co. from Supv Roy Wilson: (votes still uncounted)

position. There is no
"term of office."

The Board of Supervisors and the Registrar both look into every election
carefully. Part of the trouble we are experiencing is the constant
interference of those who do not trust electronic voting and insist on
paper trails that are meaningless but time consuming. The length of
this most recent ballot and the redundant paper trail are the primary
cause of the difficulties we have experienced in this election. The
County of Riverside is not unique in experiencing these problems.

The electorate always has input on this and any other matter that it
considers important--either at the ballot box or during the Board of
Supervisor's public meetings.

Sincerely,

Roy Wilson

3. Riverside DUer's
Please help me and others contact these 5 supervisors and ask them why it takes the registrar so long to count these votes and why she came out 2 days after the election with the statistics that 75,000 absentee and paper ballots had not been counted only to find out one week later that 120,000 absentee and paper ballots hadn't been counted. This woman doesn't have a clue and she blames the voters for not using the machines opting instead to use absentee and paper ballots. This woman, Barbara Dunmore, has disregarded California SOS rules with just about everything from posting results on precinct levels to allowing people to watch the votes being counted.

Here are recent links showing the numbers actually increasing as time goes by. :eyes:

Here is an article about the Supervisors rejecting voters complaints. This was BEFORE the election.

Here are the Supervisors to contact and ask them about the Registrar since they appoint her to this job for a lifetime position.
Some Supervisor's seem to be more willing to make apologies for the ROV but Marion Ashley of District 5 has made public comments on the slow process.

Here is a quick link if you already know your district;
DISTRICT 1

Supervisor Bob Buster district1@rcbos.org

DISTRICT 2

Supervisor John F. Tavaglione district2@rcbos.org

DISTRICT 3

Supervisor Jeff Stone district3@rcbos.org

DISTRICT 4

Supervisor Roy Wilson district4@rcbos.org

DISTRICT 5

Supervisor Marion Ashley district5@rcbos.org

Choose your Supe and let him know that this is not an acceptable way to run an election.

Thanks DU!

6. I don't know
if it will change David's numbers he would have to get something like 47500 to beat her. That is what I am getting from the campaign but other local races have very close numbers and certain areas have not been counted (I don't know which ones because ROV won't give out much information)

Check this site and figure out which district you are from

I sent blind copies to all of them in case one is more receptive than an another

Thanks for responding pk_du. Now if we could just get this on greatest. :hi:

8. Riverside County hates the voters
A few years back I got into an email argument with Michelle Townsend after writing to *respectfully* complain about the paperless machines. As you probably already know, she used to be the registrar of voters in Riverside county. She was nasty and rude and treated me with distain for wanting to know about our voting process. Sounds like these people are just as bad. Riverside County hates the voters. If it wasn't so freakin' red around here, we could get someone in there that cares about the democratic process.

11. entire letter

Thank you for your recent e-mail. To specifically answer your
questions: the qualifications for Registrar of Voters are spelled out in
the Human Resources job description, which can be found on the County
website. Please call this office if you need help in accomplishing that.
Be assured that the Registrar does, indeed, serve "at the pleasure" of
the Board of Supervisors and has thus far earned that position of trust.
Barbara Dunmore is a highly-trusted and very capable longtime Riverside
County employee, and that is how she earned the position. There is no
"term of office."

13. "Meaningless, but time consuming?"
:wtf: I guess "accuracy," "verifiability," and "accountability" are arcane attributes for an election, eh?
