You know who I'm f***ing tired of? "Cajun" Carville
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 01:55 AM by PretzelWarrior
What a complete ass! I used to forgive him his physical and political ugliness when he was actually making himself useful trying to defeat Republicans instead of trying to rip on fellow Democrats as he is now.

As I see it, Carville is showing himself to be part of the problem. As the Democratic wing of the Democratic party comes to grips with it's new found power base that Dean is building up in the field, they will all turn and realize in a moment how irrelevant the DLC and Carville and all of the Clinton alcolytes really are.

Until that time....while Carville is still sucking the air out of the room with his hateful broadsides of the new Democratic face--Howard Dean--I have only this to say.

GO FUCK YOURSELF, JAMES CARVILLE! GO FUCK YOURSELF! I'm sure you'll be the only one who would.

Edit for the benefit of another poster who feels I do a disservice to all Cajuns by lumping him in with them.

1. According to Huffington - appearing earlier on Olbermann's
Carville really has not done much since his 1992 "it is the economy, stupid."

4. you know what? I ALMOST said something similar
it's like this guy shot his wad back in 92 and tried to reclaim some mojo in 96...but he's irrelevant and has tried to stay relevant. At the party's expense.

2. I don't get this at all..
everyones panties are in a twist over Carville's remarks about Dean.

If his remarks bothered Dean, he would have issued a statement in rebuttal.

I haven't heard word one from Howard Dean addressing Carville's criticism.

Unless, I missed something here. I don't understand the animosity and uproar..

3. It is better for Dean to fight back through proxies
why does he need to turn this into a "He said--It said" kind of quarrel? Right now it just looks a lot like "Et tu Brute?" kind of moment and Dean is smart to keep quiet and act like Carville is full of shit. WHich he is.

THis is me, one American, registering my complaint about what makes us all vomit about politics at times. Dean was derided....but did something no other so-called political expert could do for 12 years--get a Dem majority in both houses. Dean was mocked, but he drove money to where it belongs...out to the hinterlands..rather than inside the beltway.

Dean is smart. Carville is dumb. Jon Stewart has shown him to be the piece of shit he really is.

9. Not really..
Dean is a pretty savvy guy...If it bothered him I'm sure he's contact
Carville privately (telephone) and discuss it with him..

When there is a problem smart people DON'T do things by proxy...

11. actually, they do
he has more to gain by letting people come to his defense and watch Carville get gutted than making an official statement.

For all we know he HAS spoken with Carville privately.

Many smart people have publicists and spokespeople. Much of their communication is done by proxy.

22. I don't agree with that assessment at all..
the result of a proxy argument is right here before your eyes.
It divides people. That is not a good thing for a Party
that has just won a 14 yr power struggle with the nastiest,
cut throat people on earth.

I don't believe a proxy argument is beneficial in every case.
As Jay Leno would say, "What was HE Thinkin?" (carville)

31. I agree
If Dean needs to respond he will. I've watched him since he became chairman of course and he does a good job with those decisions so I would trust him on it.

5. I suspect because Dean does not wish to give any
wind to them sails of divsion... and is far more of a gentleman

This is positioning for '08 pure and simple

The Clinton Team is getting ready to get off to the races...and not having Dean where he is would be oh so much helpful

23. Thanks..
Howard Dean should have issued a quotable statement..
made public by his pr person..

something like..."James, are you looking for a job?
Have your people call my people and I'll pencil you in."

29. I believe he called it "inside the Beltway silliness" and left it at that.
Sounds like the right response. He has to keep the state party chairs happy and what James Carville says is irrelevant--especially if it flies in the face of logic.

30. My only "uproar" is
these guys, the DLC side, are trying to take all the credit for their "conservatism" and all that for winning the election and taking the glory when it had nothing to do with them. The past election was about accountability towards Bush and the republicans and to get things done. Not whether one was liberal or conservative and Carville going around claiming glory shows he doesn't care at all about the election. Either that or his head is up his ass so far he can't realize that. Dean is the party chairman and his job is to get the message out and to win elections. He has done his job and very well. Instead of giving Dean the credit he deserves Carville is trying to kick him out of the job with Ford. I think it's just up to us the people to ignore him and tell him to fuck off. We the people want Dean as chairman and that's what matters. It's the majority who speaks and wants Dean. Not the other way around.

And being as Carville is probably acting on behalf of the Clintons, I'm beginning to get a sour taste towards them as well.

16. I'm sick of Carville too... but we have NINE threads on this page alone about him!
If you ask me... the guy is getting way more attention than he deserves here! NINE different threads (searching by the word "Carville" alone on page one here!) There may be more under different words, I only searched the key word "Carville".

He sucks, but wow do we ever hash over a topic OVER and OVER and OVER again on this board.. http://eliteleague.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/duh!.gif
