1. Why would you put Clark as VP?
Waste of talent. He should be president or secretary of state - where his diplomacy and/or foreign policy skills would be of value. They'd be wasted as president of the senate.

2. Master of Baters, George "War Criminal" Bush
In the sense that I think that we should erect a giant statue to that piece of shit in the washington mall, with his face and the words carved into it, for it to stand there for all eternity as a living monument of shame.

4. I think we should do something similar to that.
Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 10:16 PM by Cascadian
Errect statues of Bush in every city and sell rotten tomatoes and vegetables so people could throw them at the statue. I got that idea from Jello Biafra. When he ran for mayor of San Francisco in 1979, one of his platforms was to put up Dan White statues around the city and sell rotten produce so people could throw them at the statue.

In case you were wondering, Dan White was the former San Francisco Supervisor who shot Mayor George Moscone and the first openly gay Supervisor in the city Harvey Milk.

5. Nobody is a "get out of Iraq now" candidate, though. NOBODY.
Because it's simply NOT feasible for stability in the region.

I know the arguments that our young peoples' lives are being lost on this folly and I agree, but we broke it and we have to at least GLUE it (because we'll never completely fix it) before we go. Redeployment over the period of a year and diplomatic interaction with Iran, Syria, Jordan et al is about the ONLY way we can get out in any reasonable time period.

I think Lou Dobbs would be good to protect our jobs and stop outsourcing. Which cabinet member would do that.

17. Secretary of Labor would probably be better
But I'd have to analyze Lou Dobbs more closely because I haven't watched his show in a while. If he's xenophobic then I wouldn't want him in the administration anywhere.

12. Richard Clarke at Defense...
...so much of our intelligence operations are now in the DoD
he would find out right away what they have been up to.
Murtha? Sorry, but he would have too many hands in the cookie
jar.

14. ooo-kaaay
You are aware that Murtha's a hawk and Richardson's a globalist, right? And Al Gore and Wesley Clark would sooner appoint Bill Frist to HUD than Dennis Kucinich, right?

15. I agree with others about Clark.
He should definitely be Secy of State, or something very important.

For Veep, you want somebody who will bring the ticket in, and whom will work deals in the Senate. I think Kathleen Sebelius would be great.

19. politically, you'lre unlikely to see Gore and Clark on the same ticket
You're looking at two candidates that currently are not serving in elected office...politically, that makes for an unlikely ticket. Also, while the Arkansas/Tennessee pairing worked in 1992 and 1996, my suspicion is that party will look to the midwest for part of the ticket this time.

20. Interesting that there are no women, no African Americans listed thus far
I suspect that an African-American and/or woman would end up one or more of the positions listed in a Democratic administration
