One of the first bills that newly elected Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland should pass...
...is a law that says if you are running for office in Ohio you CANNOT have anything to do with organizing the Election process.

This was total bullshit that Ken Blackwell can run for office while being Secretary of State which includes the roll of the election process in Ohio.

If Ken wants to run again then he needs to cede those powers to a non-partisan group to monitor

2. We have really suffered here in the last 6 years.
It's so aggravating that these elected officials got away with so much bs while smiling and saying "we'll need a tax increase now in order to take care of the schools" etc, etc, etc...

3. I agree with you. #2 should be.....
school funding. Taft got away with doing nothing for so many years. He should have been sent to jail for defying the courts as long as he did.

4. I agree. Of course, Ken lost the race to Jennifer Brunner (D). (n/t)

5. Then Jennifer Brunner needs to get that legislation enacted
To ensure there is never another "Kenneth Blackwell" ever in Ohio. I think the people of that state deserve so much better!

6. Governors don't pass bills.
Neither do Secretaries of State.

Just thought I should point that out.

7. I have taken Politics 101
Sure, ultimately it's the Congress that passes bills but the Governor (president) makes it a point to suggest new bills to be introduced. I mean, if they weren't a part of the process then we're spending alot of money on a person whose sole purpose is to open new grocery stores & malls
