I can never forgive the Republicans for what they have done to our country... |
|
No doubt, many of them had no idea what they were supporting. However, how difficult would it have been to read just a bit and do a little research. Instead, they tuned to FOX-TV. That's all they needed to know as our country edged closer and closer to the cliff. Hopefully, this election will have pulled us back from that suicide attempt by Bush and the neocons.
Hopefully, we will be able to right the course, but much damage has been done. Most likely, most Repubs will continue on their merry way as if nothing ever happened. Especially if the Democrats can save the country? I have little respect for those that are so easily led by religious fanatics and nationalistic war-mongers. They cannot be trusted.

2. It'll be a sustained battle of good vs bad |
|
How many years it will take to win this battle is the question. It might never be won, but as long as there are people fighting against the bad side, we can try to at least keep the bad shit in check. You're right. They can never be trusted, so we have to always remain on our toes and never forget what happens when religion gets out of hand and when greed gets the best of you.

3. I agree and find that I am pretty upset by the way republicans embraced |
|
...the neo-conservative philosophies. Once again, our constitution makes it quite clear that among other ideas mention, the promotion of the general welfare for all our people is of foremost importance:
The Constitution of the United States of America Preamble
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Until republicans embrace the idea of general welfare verse selective welfare, there can be no common ground for a perfect union of these United States of America.

5. Corporations are the real enemy! |
|
Republicans have been open to the 'corporate greed bunch' for the last few years, and rotted away from it. But the disease is still with us, and we'll see if any changes come from the lobbying reforms promised by the leadership. If we don't see anything happen there, then you know 'they' are bought too!
