The Right-Wing Democratic Partisanship meme |
|
One of the latest spurious right-wing claims is that Democrats are showing partisanship when they choose to refute right-wing and Republican propaganda. Like most DU'ers, I find such claims so outrageously untrue, they're actually funny.
Personally, I think that being upbraided for supposed "partisanship" by today's crop of right-wingers is like being lectured to on the evils of profiteering from gambling and prostitution by Meyer Lansky and Charles "Lucky" Luciano in their hey-day, such claims lack credit because the practitioners are flagrantly practicing what they're claiming to oppose.

1. "Unhinged" is the other one they're starting to use |
|
When a Democrat steps in to correct one of them during a fillibuster, they invariably will say, "Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me..." Then, as soon as the Democrat stops talking, the RW will say something like, "You're becoming unhinged! As I was saying, blah blah blah blah (fillibuster full of twisted rhetoric and lies).

3. The Pot, Kettle and Accusations... |

of the color Black... Only, in this case, the Pot (Republicans) are colorblind and the Kettle (Democrats) are a shiny Brass color--not black.
Unfortunately, vast numbers of Republicans and even some others in the public are either colorblind or have their eyes closed--accepting whatever their televisions tell them (though, happily, we've certainly witnessed a decrease in the number of people who believe everything they see on TV (hear on the radio; read in the paper; etc)).
