Suppose five years ago, a bill passed the Senate but not the House. |
Could the House pass it now and send it to the Conference Committee, or would the Senate have to pass it again first?

1. both have to pass it again |
not just pass it but i think it starts from the start where it has to go through committee first and everything.

2. I believe bills die when the "session" is over... |
which is every two years. Unless they are specifically continued.
At least, that's what I remember from civics class, so I could be totally off.

3. I would think so, there are different |
people there now. The House goes in sessions I don't know if the Senate does too but there are Senators that aren't there.

5. The Senate passed a bill to extend labor protections... |
...to the Marianas Islands a long time ago. But Tom DeLay wouldn't let the bill get voted on in the House.
