2. And some fools call us a "Christian" nation. What a sick joke.
Hard to believe that this is the nation that conducted the Nuremburg Trials. Have we thrown our moral compass into the ocean of greed that we are floating on?

3. Making a martyr out of the guy will not help. He has the prestige
that he does because of the murder of his own father I believe.

Some people are stronger in death than they ever were in life.

Saddam Hussein.

8. Darryn Kagen (sp?) said the same thing yesterday
and I wished for a moment that I could reach out and slap her - not just for that, but for ALL the hate mongering crap that falls out of her mouth.

9. I recall that some generals wanted to do this
years ago. They decided against it then and it would be an even worse idea today. Sadr is, after all, basically the only reason the current Iraqi government still exists.

10. More of the same will not give us
different results.

Things were supposed to get better when we captured Saddam. Wrong.

Things were supposed to get better after we killed his sons. Wrong.

Things were supposed to get better after we killed a variety of #2s. Weong.

Why would this be different?

11. Do you get the impression they are giving it a test run?
To check the amount of outrage? Is the public ho-hum or is there genuine public sentiment against such a move? Or am I just goofy...

12. I heard a blonde bubble head on CNN discussing "taking out"
Al Sadr. "Taking out?" Are we now a nation that calming discusses murdering someone on TeeVee? Is this part of our "family values?"

19. The Rep senator (forgot his name) was all for it!
And for sending in more troops - the McCain plan. The Dem senator (Jack Reed) talked about trying to marginalize Al Sadr but warned of creating a martyr. That was the only reasonable thing said during the whole discussion. These people are all delusional. They talked about pressuring the Iraqi government in disarming the Sadr militia. Don't they realize that Sadr IS the Iraqi government and that Al Maliki can only survive as long as he is backed by Al Sadr.

16. Can you imagine how the fecal matter would hit the fan if they took
out Al Sadr? It would take Shrub's folly to a whole new level of violence. Blitzer needs to get a grip.

17. Asking if the US Govt. should murder someone is the
"New democracy" in action. America has sunk low and is sinking lower each day.
