Dean for No. 2 spot? Whatever's best, he says |
WASHINGTON - Acknowledging that his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination is now 'a longer shot than it was', Dr Howard Dean has suggested that he would accept the No. 2 spot on a national ticket if it were offered to him. http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/world/story/0,4386,234273,00.html?

1. I think only an Edwards or Clark would offer Dean a VP slot |
but both would be doing themselves s huge disservice if they did. I think having Dean in the VP is like riding a tiger.

2. Possibly a good choice |
Though I am for Dean for President, he may be a wise choice for Kerry's VP. Kerry has not been as aggressive as Dean, and Dean as the number two man would allow him to go on the offensive while Kerry stays above the fray.

It would be a good move on Kerry's part, providing he is the nominee. It would bring the huge support base Dean has and that support base is a virtual money machine.
