Interesting: Crazy Wingnut Radio Barking Head Calls For Bush Impeachment

While channel surfing in the car today, I happened upon Jay Severin's program. He's a local (Boston) crazy wingnut radio fool - he's called for our troops to kill all POWs, and called for Iraq to be nuked (he later said that he didn't actually mean nuke, but you get the picture).

In any case, he was ranting on and on for Bush to be impeached over Iraq. He was also, for the first time that I recall, making fun of Bush's mangling of language and his obvious lack of intelligence. His callers, the few that I heard, seemed to agree.

For some time now, I've thought that if the Dems won the 2006 elections, then the Rethugs would be the most likely drivers of impeachment - they want a shot at 2008, and there aren't many that haven't been fucked over by the Prez. I think it's beginning to happen. I suspect that Bush & Darth will be out in a few months... I'm sure hoping it happens...

1. You Know What

I've had this script in my head for a long time now. I think discussion of impeachment is sort of "O Last Century, if these guys need to go, which of course we believe they do, but the whole country will know it, including the republicans, what's left of them. Impeachment will be sort of beside the point.

2. He has been calling for Bush to get US troops out of Iraq for years.

As nutty as he is, he has steadfastly called for us to get the hell out of there for a long time. He says the military's work was done when Saddam was toppled.

Today he called for the impeachment of Bush.

I was liking it.
