1. I can't believe all the Righties claiming Webb was "rude" or "disrespectful"
Respect goes both ways; the Dear Leader's response - "I didn't ask that" - was very rude and disrespectful to Webb.

But then, what do you expect from the sort of person who talks with his mouth full?:eyes:

2. unless you bow to the man, and follow his every whim, in his mind
you are being rude.

Of course, the bubble effect in the White House has existed since after Lincoln's tenure. There was no secret service, people could AND did, simply walk into the White House and seek a meeting. (If memory serves, his assassination resulted in the creation of the SS) You have butlers and servants arranging every single detail. You have aides attending to your every whim and need. You have control over vast resources without having to make a call. You order someone else to make it. People stand up at attention every time you enter a room, and perfectly selected crowds treat you like a rock star. Even when a critic comes to visit, 90% of the time, they get tongue tied because of the nature of the office.

All of that is bad enough. Ford, Carter and Truman were probably the best at avoiding the seductive aspects of the office. Then, we have Junior. When you take his narcissistic personality defects, combine them with unbridled and unwarranted arrogance not seen since my ex-spouse, and sprinkle on such powers and pampering, you truly lose touch with reality.

What continues to astonish me is how many people still support this fool. 30%? incredible. UNBELIEVABLE. But it also explains why our nation is in such deep trouble.
