Viable candidates are no longer those who sound and act the most convincing as Presidential nominees. Today, in the age of YouTube, Cell Phone cams, Blogs, talking heads, 24-hour news coverage, and all the rest, it now comes down to who is apt to publicly screw up the LEAST.

All you need to do is tally up how many times your candidate has made a botched joke, a poorly-worded or biased remark, or otherwise stumbled in public (either literally or figuratively), and you'll get a pretty good idea of how public opinion will fare in 2 years.

Frankly, things already look suprisingly bleak for Hillary, who hasn't reached the Kerry level of blunder but has come close. You don't think the likes of her "Ghandi's Gas Station" comment a few years back will be central to her opposition's negative campaigning? Then you haven't been paying attention.
