When venal, self-serving, corruptible people worm themselves into government
outcomes like 9/11, Iraq and Katrina are totally predictable. These people NEVER served the American people, they have always served themselves and others of their ilk and they have always viewed government as an easily greasable avenue to riches beyond compare. Their avenue to riches is slick with blood, oil, asbestos,DU,pcbs, and God knows what other lubricants, but it hinders them not.

What I am trying to say is that Iraq should NOT be a surprise. If, as I suspect, a long ways down the road it turns out that the US was played for a fool by Iran, I would like to remind everyone -

You Can Only Corrupt The Corruptible! You can only slide a dollar to someone who will accept it. You have to seek out the kind of people who like to have secret meetings that enrich just a few people that they really, really, don't want other people to know about.

You would have to find a small, secretive, self-serving cabal with no sense of morality or history or the common good. Kinda like the whole Bush administration
