In Iraq, we find ourselves in a hole. It's time we stop digging and find a way out. Is there any simpler way to put it? Or do we look for a new shovel? Or do we look for a new person to man the shovel? Or do we look for a different tool to dig with? Or do we call it something else besides a "hole"?
