Another slant on the Webb/Bush situation |
|
I've read a lot of thoughts about what was going on between Bush and Webb at that dinner, but after watching some stock footage of Senator-Elect Webb on TV last night, another thought occurred to me.
Remember that Webb wore his son's combat boots during the campaign and at one point in time held the boots up for everyone to see. Webb was doing this to show us (and the voters of Virginia) that he had not and would not forget his son or any other soldier serving in Iraq.
but that's not the way Bush and company see the world...
Remember that everything with Bush and company is political . There is no such thing as policy there is only winning power; winning the next election. The first "tell-all" book coming out of this administration by Paul O'Neill told us this (we should have been scared then).
So Bush didn't see those boots as a tribute to the troops...he saw them as he would have usedthem...as campaign props...
So when Bush approached Webb, his remark about "How's your son" was a direct insult to Webb... an insinuation that Webb had used those boots for political purposes because that's EXACTLY what Bush would have done....
If I am correct about this, I think Bush is an even bigger a$$hole than I could have EVER imagined.
JMHO....

3. Correct x 2. It was an insult and he is a very large asshole. |
|
If it had been an innocent father to father question, Bush would have responded, "Yeah, me too." when Webb replied that he wanted the troops home. Instead he got pissy about it. It seems to me that was a dead giveaway that Bush meant to be provacative. I actually don't think he can help it. He is a bully. "I asked you a question and dang it, you are going to answer it."

6. The biggest part of Bush's resume was that he was a political STRATEGIST for 30yrs |
|
a dirty trickster type of 'strategist' and that is something the media has always ignored about him, while they pretend he was just a goold old Texan rancher.

Still whoring like the sluts they are? Did they get their slutty behavior from barbara or from Laura? Will they one day run over a future boyfriend or make fun of homeless people? Gosh george you can be so proud of yourself and your family.
Former SECNAV should have kicked his ass.

equally obnoxious things to mothers of dead military. The man is unfit to be a garbage collector (no insult to garbage collectors intended) much less the POTUS.
