Have you convinced somebody to support your candidate? |
|
Me? Don't think so. But maybe an aggregate of messages/phone calls/conversations has had some influence on a few votes. I think it has to be reinforced by somehthing else as well, unless you're one of those natural-born persuasive types.
How about the other way around? Anybody convice you?
Any tips, stories, thoughts or insights?

My husband who was for Dean, then Clark, then was headed for Kerry but was struck by lightning when I finally convinced him to read DK's web site. Both of my sons who are not big on politics yet but have listened to all of this since the beginning have both come over to DK to my surprise. That is 4 of us to caucus for him. Several of my friends have either joined up or stayed after the going got rough. It was the integrety issue along with the policies that swayed them. I have about 4 others thinking about him seriously.

One was pro-Clark already but didn't want to speak up (we both work in a rethuglican-thick environment) and the other was wavering between Clark and Kerry...That soon changed!!!...Both have contributed to his campaign, one for the first time to a candidate EVER....
Word of mouth baby... the cheapest, most effective method of advertising....
GO WES GO!!!

And quite a few people on the fence in Tennesse. My friends and I have been Eblocking for the past two days.

In person, on the phone, with friends and acquaintances, also, on the street collecting ballot petition signatures and registering voters, I have had a lot of success.
So many people are so eager to oust Bush that there is some fertile ground available.
I try to find out what is important to that person before I make my pitch. There is no point focusing on Iraq with someone whose main issue is the environment and vice versa.

At least 10 for Clark. Plus my Republican cousin is interested in him as well.
Clark convinced me to support him all by himself!
