I'm sure a lot of you who followed the Iran-Contra Hearings, closer than I did, have a few questions for this guy.

If you need some question ideas, you should here this segment from today's "Talk of the Nation." All three of these guests brought up a LOT of good questions and were very critical of Gates, but especially the third guest, Melvin Goodman, who actually worked for and with Gates in the past, was absolutely brutal in his criticism of Gates! (If you only have a few minutes, search to his part about 1/2 way into the clip, it's excellent stuff)

Plus, ALL of the Phone Callers had some great questions too!

I have to say, I think TOTN is starting to make an effort to shift the show back to the Left, because they know they need to in order to get good guests, they know who has the power in Washington now.

Listen to this story...(At link)
Talk of the Nation, November 30, 2006 · Robert Gates was nominated a few weeks ago by President Bush to replace Donald Rumsfeld as Secretary of Defense. His confirmation hearings are scheduled for next week and, assuming those go well, Gates is expected to be confirmed by the Senate the following week. What would you ask Robert Gates?

Guests:

Michael Gordon, Chief Military Correspondent for The New York Times; Co-author Cobra II, the Inside Story of the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq

Lieutenant General William Odom, NSA chief from 1985 to 1988; Senior fellow at the Hudson Institute

Melvin Goodman, Senior fellow at the Center for International Policy; Former CIA analyst; Worked with and under Gates at CIA; Testified against Gates in 1991 hearings

1. What signal can you give us whenever you are about to tell the truth to this
