2. Why Bush will listen?

Yeah, because he's so rational about the subject, right?

I hope he does, but nothing that's happened up to this point leads me to believe he'd listen to ANYONE who told him something he didn't want to hear.

4. How the mighty have fallen....
from "Time: Man of the Year" to being led along like a disruptive child by Poppy and now this, "why Bush will listen". Will he? All indications so far point to, no, he won't. While the Iraq study group is busy leaking their recommendations to a fawning Press, Bush has been telling anyone who will listen that we won't leave Iraq, "until the job is complete". That sounds an awful lot like "stay the course" to me.
I seriously doubt that Dubya will accept many, if any, suggestions from the elders of the Bush tribe. After all, HE'S the decider, not a bunch of archaic retreads from his Daddy's one term administration. I predict that Junior's ego will once again get in his way of doing anything meaningful or constructive concerning HIS war in Iraq. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.
