Poll question: Obama or Hillary? |
|
If faced with the choice between these guys, yada yada, who would you vote for for the nomination?

1. Freakin' lousy polls around here lately. No comment. |
|
At least put John Kerry in there or Al Gore or John Edwards or Wes Clark.

9. Just wait for the 8000 more in the coming year. |
|
If somebody does not have a new and original thought, they simply post a poll. What a novel concept! I wish that with the push of just one button that you could eliminate all polls. Yes, all polls because frankly they are pretty useless and unscientific.

14. I like polls that start a discussion... |
|
I posted one last week about the era in which "corporatism" rose in the U.S. -- and got a lot of good comments.
But I've got to remember to avoid the "Who for 2008?" polls...

Next week, Gore and Clark. Week after, Kerry and Edwards, and so on.

3. Hmmm. And if you listen to the Mainstream Media, you might think those are the only choices. |
|
I'll go with Door #3: Al Gore.

7. The sad thing is that this country won't elect a woman or a black man. |
|
And it is all our loss. But the Thuggery has been stirring up the hatred for forty years. How to get by that -- anyone have an idea?
Either would be an excellent executive. It's sad that we will never have the chance to prosper under their governance.
Both are too conservative for me but have to acknowledge, both would make very able presidents.

15. You're probably right, but eventually we've got to get past that when choosing our nominee.... |
|
Who would have thought that a black man would be governor of Massachussetts, or that a woman would be Speaker of the House? Perhaps progress really begins when we stop making excuses.

Edit: But the thing is, to get there, some candidates will have to suffer crucifixion first. I guess I don't want either Senator Clinton or Senator Obama to have to go through that. But SOMEONE will have to go through that if we are ever to get beyond this point.

I hope we get better choices than those two.
Of course, Tweety is the real decider as to who it will be.

Young Americans and the whole future of our country would be more intimately vested in a young candidate. Open the door to younger Americans as much as is proportionately relevant in the general population.
I like young candidates.

IMHO, I don't believe Obama will still(?) be the front-runner by 2008 and Hillary will decide to sit it out and be a power-broker.

I'm not sure either is electable, but given a choice between the two, I will go with Obama.

he's got go all out for the top job, to prove himself...and who knows...funny things happen. My wet dream/fantasy is Gore-Obama...I may have to be hospitalized if that actually comes to pass.

33. Times are changing and that is our hope |
|
Last night watching cold case part of the case was finding out the guy who was killed was gay. We have lots of shows now that are about the gay life style and such but this is the first show I have seen on regular tv where the guys kissed a long kiss. I mentioned to my husband that even 5 years ago this never would have happened.
My point is, if regular shows are feeling more comfortable with different lifestyles, maybe we can elect a woman or black man for president.
Times are changing faster now...and I think it is because of the internet and all the blogs. People even from back woods and rural areas are open to progressive ideas that would have been stuck in a small town....
just my 2 cents!!!
