Hadley "a “new way forward" aka bush will not go with the Iraq Study Group.
Bush truly is insane or living in a bubble. When the commission headed by
the man who helped him steal the Presidency in 2000 says it is time to get
out bush just refuses to look @ the facts and spouts gibberish about victory
and finishing the mission,

Amid Hints Bush Will Change Iraq Policy, Clues That He Won’t

By DAVID E. SANGER
Published: December 4, 2006
WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 — The debate that will engulf Washington and much of the country this week centers on a question that lurks at the intersection of war strategy and the personality of the commander in chief: after three and a half years, is President Bush ready to abandon his declaration that American forces cannot begin to leave Iraq until the Iraqis demonstrate that they are capable of defending themselves?

As administration officials tried to prepare the ground over the weekend for the release of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group’s long-awaited report on Wednesday, the president’s national security adviser, Stephen J. Hadley, repeatedly sidestepped questions about how the administration would react to the panel’s recommendations.

On three television news programs on Sunday, he offered assurances that Mr. Bush would look at all the new ideas landing on his desk to develop what Mr. Hadley referred to — 12 times — as a “new way forward,” one that the president would announce to the nation in “weeks, not months.

1. Bush isn't going to "look at"..
.. anything, and even if he did he wouldn't know what he was "looking at".

I expect him to go on the usual PR offensive with his own plan, which will be at odds with the ISG's recommendations (which he no doubt is already fully aware of).

The question is, how many will line up behind him in support? Not many I'm betting.

4. The question is then, who is feeding him his lines?
You are absolutely right, BTW. he doesn't have a clue what it means to follow the ISG recommendation, or what it will mean to not follow it. Someone will be cramming him with sound bites about this new strategery, and that will be the entire depth of his knowledge.

The question is, who? Who is left on "his" side?

BTW, look for the whore press to spin this as

1. Il Dunce' continues his lifelong trend of bucking conventional wisdom - he's his own man (even though he never even takes a dump without taking a poll and getting advice from his handlers).
2. The ISG was controlled by ultra-left-wing Dems like Lee Hmilton

2. Then he must resign or be impeached and the sooner the better.
Then it's time for the man who helped him steal the presidency needs to call for this. We cannot afford to play games any longer.

3. Well, he IS "The Decider".
He doesn't have to take advice from anyone. HE'S the decider. Besides, he still has all of that "political capital" to spend from his landslide victory over John Kerry in 2004. :sarcasm:
That's the problem I think. Bush refuses believe that people don't like him or his policies. He still thinks of himself as the George Bush that had 75% support immediately after the tragic events of 9-11-2001. He's stuck on stupid and nothing can make him change. If we want a change in policy we're going to have to remove the entire administration, top to bottom. Otherwise we can expect more of the same, "stay the course", right into an iceberg.

5. Rockefeller's release of the Iraq Intel documents that Pat Roberts ...
.... has been covering up in January might start the impeachment bus
moving. I was for taking time, working with the repugs to help the country,
and getting some Congressional oversight of the Presidency but now this?

Impeach his ASS PDQ .... nobody more needs to die because of his mistakes.

6. My guess is he goes for 'temporarily' increasing troop levels
to 'git the job done more quicker' . Last week the news was that the marines were pulling out of Anbar, then this weekend it was reported 2200 more were going in. As soon as I read that it struck me that's what he'll want to do with the whole mess.
