Usually they're a bit more calculating. They wait at least until they have their candidate before they begin tearing down the others. Not this time. Not this year. With no netroots darling having yet declared his or her intentions to run, "progressives" are already trying to tear down the competition.

Tom Visack? Why bother!

Evan Bayh? Does he really think he has a chance?

Joe Biden? Not on your life!

Barrack Obama? He's become a corporatist or sell-out or something we don't like. We'll have to check with KOS, Sirota, and Huffington again to be sure.

Hillary Clinton? Don't even try to remind people of the 90s and your husband's record and 73% approval rating. We'll make sure everyone knows the truth about you! "Our" truth about you! And we'll make stuff up, too. Karl Rove ain't got nothin' on us!
