Bush was told to be "extra sensitive" about Webb's son
Think Progress adds some fuel to the firestorm surrounding the recent exchange between President Bush and Senator-elect Jim Webb. If you'll recall, the president asked Webb how his son, serving now in Iraq, is doing. When Webb replied by telling the president he wanted to see his son and his brothers and sisters in arms brought home, the president curtly responded by saying, "I didn't ask you that, I asked how he's doing." Since news of the exchange came out, Webb has been the victim of the right-wing smear machine, who have painted the Senator-elect as classless, disrespectful and rude, among other insults more appropriately applied to those lobbing the charges. Well, it turns out, according to Rep. Jim Moran (a Democrat from Virginia), that Bush was indeed told that "Webb's son had a recent brush with death in Iraq and was warned to be 'extra sensitive'" in speaking with the Senator-elect. Yet Bush said what he said, acting in his typical, classless fashion. Surprised?

1. Newsflash: that WAS * being "extra sensitive".
You should see what a real asshole he is otherwise.

2. Shrub doesn't know how to be sensative, and as far as classless
goes, all you have to do is remember the clips of him talking with his mouth fulll at aState dinner, trying to give Merkel a massage, all of his statements and actions when on the ground after Katrina...and the list goes on! Surely the RW know in their heart what an AH he really is!

3. Bush is a frickin psychopath...

First, Junior is told to be extra sensitive. So, he saunters on over to Webb and snaps
back when Webb says that he wants his son to come home.

He did this on purpose.

Junior gets off on sticking the knife in people. Webb was vulnerable--and Junior knew it.

I bet Junior made a bee line to Web--like a rabid wolf stalking prey.

We need that perverted, emotional-flat-lined freak out of our White House. I get dizzy just
thinking about what a piece of shit he is.

Does it strike anyone as completely disgusting that our PRESIDENT--has to be
reminded to be "sensitive"??? The frickin bastards who surround this assclown
know what an emotional mutant he is.

You remind a five-year-old child to be sensitive with their words--you shouldn't
have to remind the leader of the free world!!!

God help his wranglers! It must be a 24-hour job---incessantly reminding the man-boy
to behave like a human being! Only Charles Manson's manners coach knows the same level
of frustration!

4. Saying Bush is a bad President is like saying OJ was a bad husband
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 12:29 PM by billbuckhead
It's insulting to all the other Presidents to have this fraudulent sociopath in the same class.

5. My hope...
...is that some of Junior's handlers and wranglers write tell-all books that
reveal what all of us here know.

Maybe the general public will learn not to be bamboozled by a former-alcoholic,
cocaine-sniffing, warmongering, lying, weaselly bastard---just because he uses
the word "God" sporadically and claims to be holier than thou.

Everyone needs to understand that the United States elected a very
sick, perverted clown--so we avoid making this mistake again!

Our country cannot survive another presidential blunder like this again!

It's going to take decades to unravel the untold damage of someone who
avoids accountability by saying, "I won't know how history will judge me,
cuz I'll be dead!".
