Sorry, it just seems there are 82 Brazillian threads all with these hypothetical "IF Hillary got the nomination".

I'm not keen on the gal, but she's better than any republican nomineed you could dig up and post here. She's also better than any 3rd party candidate because let's face it, 3rd partys anymore are nothing but spoilers.

I haven't decided who my candidate is, but when I do I plan to dive headfirst in 110% in hopes of making that person the nominee. And if they don't win the nomination, I will devote the same amount of effort for the eventual nominee.

1. No, I'd send to cancer wards and dermatologist offices on a full time basis
since then, she would be doing far more good than losing the presidency in 08.

2. Yeah, you have a point there I suppose
It was meant to be hypothetical you know! Maybe a spoof on the 82 brazillian other 'Would you vote for Hillary Threads'

13. That'd be my vote, too.
As it is Hillary can't do any of those things so she might as well spend her millions trying to get elected in '08. The marketers, consultants, and media would enjoy the revenue.

3. Why SHOULD we just give up and let Hillary be crowned now?
That's what not campaigning against her now means, Lynne. It means surrendering to the DLC.

Hillary inspires all those threads because she acts as if she is ENTITLED to the nomination and the actual Democratic party is beneath her.

If she'd lose the arrogance and the triangulation, it wouldn't be so bad.

Her supporters should treat her as just another candidate, not the Empress-in-Waiting.

4. I haven't met one person outside of this forum who thinks that
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 02:43 PM by LynneSin
We're the ones making her seem like the heir apparent. Perhaps perception is reality

Edit Note: And who says I'm giving her the nomination? I'd rather expend all this energy into fighting for a great candidate instead of giving more lip service to the ones I don't want. If anything, I'm mocking the anti-Hillary fervor here because all it does is make threads about other much more suitable candidates sink to the bottom of the forum.

Perhaps people just know if they start a thread with "HILLARY CLINTON" in the subject line they too can have 50+ replies.

5. What, St. Hillary the Confessor?
I remember that Edward the Confessor was reputed to have the
curative touch for such things like the scrofula in Macbeth.
Maybe it's time for a new miracle worker... to cure people of
the pox called greed and the virus called bigotry... this country sure
needs it.

12. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

27. You might be sick of all the hypothetical "IF Hillary" threads, but what about
all the posts, yours included, that make her sound like some kind of a boobie prize if she won.

I'm not keen on the gal, but she's better than any republican nomineed you could dig up and post here.

Geez, you make it sound like winning with her would be like kissing your sibling. Hillary deserves a lot more credit than that (being only better than any republican nominee). If she gets the nod, then she gets it because she earned it, not because she's some kind of consolation or something.
