bush lied to coverup his failures according to ISG
THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ROUTINELY UNDERREPORTED THE LEVEL OF VIOLENCE IN IRAQ IN ORDER TO DISGUISE ITS POLICY FAILINGS. (per the report.)

http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/news/columnists/jonathan_s_landay/16179553.htm?source=rss&channel=krwashington_jonathan_s_landay

As we chat this morning conservative "intellectuals" are mulling over the report and are plotting their spin strategy. Meanwhile the bush legacy gets set harder and harder in concrete. His whole life has been lies, deceits, bald criminal activity. He is a failure as a human being but a hero to "conservatives."

1. They also...
Attacked anyone who reported the instability which was increasing. Remember the "No one reports the good news" meme they had? Combined I'd say this was indeed a deliberate policy to build up a body of lies to cover their failures.

4. a whole bunch of people in this country knew
he was lying along time before the war actually started. they knew that the war was going to fail and the country would devolve into a religious/tribal war. did we really need an official report to tell us what we already knew? the ones who still back his war will never admit that they were fools to believe him

5. And imagine how much harder the report might hit
If anyone on the ISG or anyone they interviewed had actually been, you know, against the war. Instead, everyone on the panel and ever witness they interviewed was on record as favoring the invasion of Iraq.

And even with that hometown advantage, Stupidhead still comes out smelling like last week's fish.

6. Irony
A study group issues a report detailing a lot of what liberals have been saying for the past four years and conservatives pan the report and criticize it and make fun of the report and the study group members because it doesn't say what they "believe." Way too much pride in conservative DNA. Their solution to keep them from admitting error and complicity, keep getting our kids killed.
