Forget W, they're trying to rescue the "Pub party |
|
Am I the only one that thinks the 2006 midterms woke up the big boys behind the Republic Party to the need to rescue themselves? What have we seen since the election: dump Rummy and install the ultimate old line insider, publicly bash W and friends with the Iraq report, and a general turnaround in what the MSM is willing to print/broadcast about this misAdministration. Does anyone think for a minute that if Rove had pulled another one out of his rectum, Baker would be busting Jr the way he is?
Big everything (oil, business, media, defense, etc.) have all decided W is going to be the fall guy so look for more of the "I tried to tell them all along" storied coming out from the RW enablers. They will be working ovetime to paint the incoming Dems as do-nothing/know-nothing obstructionists as we move toward 2008.
We have won a battle, but the war is far from over and the other side will be even more dangerous now that they have been cornered. Enjoy our victory, but the real fight is just beginning.

1. I think you have a good point. |

The challenge for the Dems is to keep throwing this mess back in the GOP's face. Forget Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld. All the rest of the GOP were in line behind Bush/Cheney for the past six years. Bush/Cheney got everything they wanted. And there was NO OVERSIGHT.
The GOP is just as responsible for this mess as Bush/Cheney. They are one and the same, and the Dems need to keep throwing that back in their faces. This isn't just a Bush problem, it's a REPUBLICAN problem. They are the enablers, who allowed everything to happen.
They can't walk away from this - the Dems need to MAKE IT THEIR PROBLEM. THEY CREATED IT - THEY OWN IT.

And nothing will be done about Iraq until it is closer to the '08 election & that will be mostly for show & campaigning. And all the other fuckups of * that go from awful to unbelievable awful in the next two years will be the dems fault.

All of their heads are on the spikes of the White House fence. The Rethugs must be liquidated as a party and a class until they are only a story to be told to frighten children.
