why is Mary Cheney and her family the targets of so much hate? By family I mean her growing family with her partner and child and not Dick, we all have good reason to hate that man.

Look I realize she is not as outspoken about gay rights as we all think she should be, but we don't have the right to ask her to be the spokesperson for the cause. She has the right to refuse to do that. I don't think I would want that thrust upon me.
