McCain still not dead.

DES MOINES, Iowa (Reuters) - Arizona Sen. John McCain, a likely Republican presidential contender in 2008, joked on Wednesday he would "commit suicide" if Democrats win the Senate in November.

1. I think McCain should keep his word. We don't need another pResident
who says one thing and does another.

6. I know this is all lighthearted BUT
I really do worry about karma. I prefer to see him wither on the vine as a potential candidate as he keeps on supporting W on this hated war.

7. I was wondering about the suicide watch
Must be a pretty tightly controlled suicide watch effort to have kept him alive this long.

Once Congress reconvenes and the Dems are officially the majority, well, let's just say they may want to redouble those efforts. I don't know how long our boy will be able to hold up at that point.

9. I don't really mind, myself

For two reasons: 1) It was a simple flippant remark (McCain doesn't strike me as being so much of a Santorumesque true believer that he sweats bullets at the idea of having to work with Democrats), and 2) He's in grim health. Quite bluntly, he's going to be dead soon enough to satisfy most folks...
