AP schools right-wing bloggers...again
Edited on Sat Dec-09-06 12:52 AM by antiimperialist
Conservative blogs had claimed that a source on recent AP reports on violent deaths in Iraq was a phoney who was not a real police captain.
AP states again that Captain Hussein exists and the only reason why Militia-infiltrated Interior Minister is saying that he's not in its lists is because Shiite squads within the interior minister have unabashedly tried to supress the news that comes out of Iraq. In fact, the US government itself through the Pentagon is said to underreport casualties in Iraq, according to the Iraq Group Study.

This is a must-read article by Editor and Publisher on the AP spanking of clueless right-wing blogs.

1. They are like the alcoholic who has lost his job, his family and his home
and continues to insist that the problem is somewhere other than within him.

What makes me so mad about the behavior of these people, (the freepers) is they seem to be so more concerned about winning their point of view than stopping the bloodshed. It is so horrible selfish.

What dose it matter if we label it "victory" or "loss" as long as people stop dying?

2. so, let me get this straight....
The RWers have been screaming non-stop that all of the good stuff that's happening in Iraq is being unreported, and all the negative stuff coming out is just media bias.

But the reality is that, not only are things not so rosy as they'd like to believe, but it's such a disaster that the people who are carrying out attacks have infiltrated the very government offices that are tasked with validating the reports of those very same attacks? And since the RWers base their incredulity on those exact reports, they're in effect saying that such-and-such attack never occurred because the attackers told them so?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
