I think the Dems in the House and Senate need a new website to
listen to us. How about a site or e-mail address that is monitored to listen to our gripes and kudos, and address them?
Can I now talk to Rep. Pelosi because she's mine instead of CA? Can I send Byrd a message as a member of the Senate, and will he listen because I'm not a resident of WV?

We need somewhere to voice our concerns where we can be assured someone will at least read our thoughts.

They work for us; is that too much to ask?

1. Do you mean that Democrats in the House and Senate...
...should create a website together to interact with grassroots Democrats?

2. I think we should be able to be heard when it is so critical, and
I've/we've felt so damn frustrated.
So yes, how can we be heard above the din of everyone else, or how can we get our thoughts/message across to those that matter, knowing the message is getting through?
I'm going to bed, but this is a pet peeve. HOW to contact our reps to really inform them and know they're getting the message? It could happen.

3. I'm torn on this ......
I understand the need to keep any Rep's/Sen's mail confined to their consituents. But with respect to the leadership, they really DO serve more than their home state/district.

I've always wanted to see an appointed Party Ombudsman or Office of Voter Liaison or some such that serves as contact point for we citizens to make our views known to the leadership. Our own 'internal lobbyist' if you will.

For example, if the message to this office/person were running 100 to 1 in favor of issue 'X', wouldn't that fact be of interest to every rep who is charged with voting on it in Congress?
