? for our legal eagle DUers
Since the "Ethics" committee just let those responsible for the page fiasco off scott-free, would it be possible for the DA in DC to file charges against Foley & co.?

2. Are they? I hope so.
I would like to see the others be charged for not protecting a child they knew was in danger. Teachers must do this by law, why shouldn't they? In the real world, this would have been reported to the child welfare dept. of DC. What make this any different?

3. listen to randi rhodes show from friday (download from whiterosesociety.org)
she was talking about this--explaining that was why he was forced to resign right away, so the ethics committee couldn't really do shit. but there are other things in the work for this asshole.

"The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has opened a criminal investigation of former Republican Rep. Mark Foley.

snip

"State authorities have been investigating whether Foley might have used computers in Florida to engage or solicit minors in illegal activities.

"At the time it opened its inquiry, the FBI said it was not clear if Foley had broken any laws.

4. It doesn't matter what the ethic committee did
It doesn't look like he did anything wrong under DC law. The age of consent there is so low it is sick. That is the crime, why the age in DC is so low. It needs to be raised.
