With Pelosi's statement, what will the rethugs do, or what will |
|
how will the Dems be seen "as taking the high road?"
In that effort, she added, "We extend a hand of friendship and cooperation to the president. We hope we can work together/
Now, I doubt whether the rethugs (so polarizing), will be friendly or cooperate, so what will happen? I believe that Pelosi's comments are sincere, but we know who we are dealing with.
Will she overcome this schism? Will the rethugs buck everything bec they hate America so much? Or, will we see a time as in the past where congressmen put America over party and they will have a beer later, as in the old days? How will the public react when the rethugs balk?
Comments? Predictions?
BTW, I thin Pelosi wants to run a "tight" ship and believe she is very shrewd.

I think Rep. Pelosi WOULD like to cooperate with the other party. Key word being "cooperate" I suspect she knows that such cooperation is highly unlikely. Still, she can't really use "F-you, ya stupid pugs" as an opening position.
It costs nothing to invite cordiality, she can play hardball once the R's show their hand.

I think she will recognize a temper tantrum when she sees it from the other side and will make it clear that if you want to play her game you have to obey the ground rules.
