Volunteer Thank You party and political buzz - Andy Hurst VA-11th

I just got back from a Thank You party for the Congressional candidate I worked for, Andy Hurst VA-11th. and although he knew as a long shot he might not win, he did make a respectable showing. I think he'll have a better chance next time.

The party was at his house. He lives in a regular nice house in the suburbs, he's not a millionaire like his opponent, Tom Davis. Andy is a warm fun loving guy! He always gives you a hug and a warm welcome. He has three beautiful children and a very intelligent interesting wife. And since Andy was the financial officer for Edwards' campaign the last time there was a lot of buzz in the room about a perspective Edwards candidacy.

It was nice to have a fun afternoon at the Hurst's and meet all the interesting people who were involved in his campaign. Meeting political people and listening to them, they all have a story to tell. Everyone is hopeful with the new Congress coming in. D.C. is going to be an exciting place pretty soon. You can count on it. I'll be sure to have a front row seat.
