Just got back from Dem Celebratory Party for Our Candiate Who Won! |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-10-06 09:36 PM by KoKo01
BUT....the talk around the food table was: "We can't impeach because it will hurt us in 2008."
This was from some of our Progressives. It was upsetting and when I countered with: "But they tried to Impeach Clinton and failed yet the Supremes put Bush in?" and I asked "who made this decision that it will hurt us in '08." I didn't get an answer.
What's going on? Anyone else been to "Thank You..Dem Parties" and heard that same thing from those they worked with to get State Candidates Elected for Dems?

now, if their strategy is to expose all the corruption and lies until there is a massive outcry from the people that causes Republicans to go with impeachment/resignation, then all well and good. But if it means "meet the new boss, same as the old boss", you'll have people leaving the party in disgust.

2. I passed on our Dem "Victory" party today. |
|
Because we didn't win anything in this area.
But, I've heard the same crap. I want impeachment. Instead of the "victory" party, I'm having dinner with Cindy Sheehan tomorrow evening.

3. Not been to any parties, but their 100% right. |

And seeing as how Bush is one of the few impeachable Presidents it is rather disheartening. However, I don't believe we'd be able to impeach him and Cheney and if we did then Pelosi would be President and a great portion of America would shit itself and vote against us in 08. Not to mention it'd be hell on our Presidential candidate. I'd rather keep the House and Senate, thank you.
