SF protesters urge Pelosi to pursue impeachment of Bush
(12-10) 13:48 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- As Democrats prepare to take control of Congress, a small but spirited rally in San Francisco called on the future speaker of the House of Representatives, the city's Rep. Nancy Pelosi, to move impeachment to the top of the legislative agenda.

"We need Nancy Pelosi to serve and represent her people. We need her to stand up and say I'm going to do what's right," said Norah Foster, one of the organizers of the rally at United Nations Plaza near San Francisco's City Hall and Civic Center.

1. Yeah. Maybe that's why she said it was off the table.
Maybe she wants the cry to come from the people. Not the Senate. I'll bet anything.

Give this a few more cities, and it'll be "on the table".

2. Good for the protesters. Maybe a recall election would get her attention.

3. Kudos to John King
I would like to thank John King and the San Francisco Chronicle for covering this event despite the numbers. The truth is it was barely advirtised. Where was Air America and KQKE? Rarely do current events resonate so profoundly with San Francisco history.

Who was the speaker from Kirkuk? I was impressed by her talk. She had the much to say, and the most to lose by saying it.

It was a pleasure to attend an event where everyone you bump into is thoroughly dedicated, comitted and informed.
