I have two tickets. One is reserved for my friend who has finals during that time, but is hoping to get done in time to join me. It should be awesome! My first experience in the audience of a national show! I always hoped it would be Letterman, but Matthews will do. :P

3. Yes -- his first show after being out sick for about a week
I'm jealous! I LOVE John Edwards ... and I'll be watching to see how he handles Tweety (which is usually pretty expertly).

4. Oh, really??? let's go to the videotape, shall we?

MATTHEWS: OK. I just want to get one thing straight so that we know how
you would have been different in president if you had been in office
the last four years as president. Would you have gone to Afghanistan?

EDWARDS: I would.

MATTHEWS: Would you have gone to Iraq?

EDWARDS: I would have gone to Iraq.

the guts to criticize their own vote. Sure, it was when the climate was more convenient to do so; sure it'd have been best if they had the guts of my hero Wellstone from the beginning; but I'm focused on 2008 and Edwards is a good man with great populist ideals. He learned his lesson. :toast:

14. He may have been wrong on those answers, but he gave them directly
That's what I meant by dealing well with Tweety -- not tap-dancing around, but just coming right out and saying what he believed at the time. I can accept if somebody's wrong, as long as they can own up to it. Edwards has done a better job on facing up to Iraq War vote than almost anyone -- just admitting he was dead WRONG.
