Wes Clark Jr, on the Young Turks
Don't know if anyone's listening to the Young Turks, but Wes Clarks son is on as a guest host and what a breath of fresh air. This guy pulls no punches, and also has alot of inside information on the election process. Very entertaining.

1. I heard him back when TYT was on sirius.
Now of course as AAR is shitty am only, I can't listen at all. Does anyone else think these guys made one of the worst career choices in history?

3. When I have the internets in my car that would be an option.
They were my evening drive home listen of choice, even if their peculiar all over the map politics drove me crazy every now and then.

4. They are also on XM Radio.
Mostly they drive me nuts, and I can't stand Jill Whatsherface because she's silly and trivial. Occasionally they have good stuff, though, like right now. Fortunately, Jill is staying pretty quiet. I can't stand her.

5. Jill stays quiet when they talk about politics and talks and yells and whines
when they talk about Hollywood and sex. Why couldnt they find a Rachel Maddow type? The 2 guys are ok.

21. I'm not fond of any of them.
I get up in the wee hours sometimes, and that's when TYT are on here. Jill is obnoxious, and one of the guys was laughing at the kid who got tasered in a college library.

It's the same old "shock jock" crap.

8. Heads Up -- The Post Show Stream is a MUST LISTEN
Wes Clark Jr. REALLY tells it straight on the "Post Show" on their Internet sight today.

It starts out with a discussion of Barak Obama, and then Wes Clark Jr. gets infuriated and let's it all out with no holds barred.

It is a Must-Listen, even for those who don't usually like the Young Turks.

(Note:There is some silliness in the first ten or 15 minutes before this. If it's not your taste, just turn the sound down until they get to this.)

The direct link is:

If that doesn't work, go to their website and click on the Post-Show birthday link, and it'll open in a media player.

13. Hey herbbrown....
Wes Jr's earlier appearance on TYT had some of the DU folks here up in arms...They thought the son of a former Demcratic canddiate for President shouldn't talk this way, use this langauge, say these things, thought General Clark shouldn't allow his son to speak like that (if you can believe that!), thought Wes Jr was an embarrassment, yada, yada....Others kinda liked it..

15. Other than the fact
that he uses the word fuck more than Tony Montana, I can't see what the problem is with speaking the truth, and exposing the sickness that is American politics. Not until we call this silly game for what it is, will we ever get past all the (fucking) nonsense. I thought Wes Jr. was a breath of fresh air.

17. Yeah, I didn't get all of the angst over it either...
I think he's quite the breath of fresh air myself....and, to be fair to the DU community, I do think that most who commented at the time appreciated his comments. There were just a few who were LOUDLY critical. Different strokes, I guess. Heck, it's not like the guy's running for anything himself and the thought that Wes should dictate what his son should and should not say really rubs me the wrong way. I'm glad Wes doesn't think like that and lets his son feel free to say what he thinks...and he really says what he thinks, eh?

18. I finally got a chance to watch this whole thing...
Yeah, I can't blame Jr for thinking like that. I wouldn't want my Dad to run either if I were in his place. I think the whole family is just too good for the dirty game that is politics. This country really doesn't seem to deserve them.

16. A little kick...
Way to go Wes Jr!

I think I was just lurking here when he was on the Young Turks the last time, but I read through all the hissy-fits he caused. To each his own, but I loved it.

He's got a good read on Washington politics, that's for damned sure.
