Poll question: Which candidate do you continue to support, even if Gore gets in?
Edited on Tue Dec-12-06 09:28 PM by jefferson_dem
File this under YADU08P (Yet Another DU 2008 Poll) if you wish. ...

Gore is obviously the fan favorite here at DU. Let's suppose Al does jump in. How many of you will NOT abandon your choice to support Gore? If that's you, indicate who your "with Gore or without Gore" candidate is here.

4. Biden
I have supported Biden for over six months. But the thing is, he has said at least seven months ago that he would be running, yet i hear nothing about him ever as even a candidate. So if he cant pick up any steam, then Obama all the way. Maybe edwards if he has indeed improved off of his performance in the last election.

3. Kucinich is my top choice all the way....
Gore is the only other one in that field that-- as of right now-- I would likely vote for if DK isn't nominated. Most of those others? Not in this lifetime.

5. Clark.
I'll start supporting Gore the second he wins the nomination. Until then I'm with the General.

7. IMNSHO You need to have something like "Nobody, I'd support only Gore" as a control
Otherwise your poll percentages don't really measure what I assume you're trying to find out - - how many or few members would continue to support somebody else if/when Gore got in.

9. Ah...the old "exhaustiveness" principle. Yes. That makes sense.
Edited on Tue Dec-12-06 09:33 PM by jefferson_dem
I have added that choice now. Although this poll also indicates relative intensity of support for each of the candidates based on the percentage who would forgo support for "Big Al" and stay true to their existing choice.

10. You better add
"Democrat" to that sentence..... Giuliani doesn't cross that line. How he can be a Repuke with that and supporting the Gay community just amazes me.

11. If by some miracle Giuliani gets the nod
count on his getting religion the same way Poppy and Dole did. Remember, they were both prochoice until the nomination was dangled in front of them.

The GOP knows it can't win anything without the religious lunatics. They will never run a prochoice candidate for the top office until the religious nuts form their own splinter party.
