Trying to find out more - does anyone know anything?
"Sen. Tim Johnson (D, SD) has suffered an 'apparent stroke'... NBC Affiliate WHDH in Boston: 'If he were to die or resign, he could potentially create a tie between Republicans and Democrats in the Senate. That is because South Dakota's governor would be able to appoint a replacement for Johnson and he is likely to be a fellow Republican".

2. With all due respect... |

Why do people post stuff like this without looking at the "LBN" headlines? If something like is true, it is almost always on LBN as soon as the word is out. In this case, all one had to do is scroll down a few posts and viola!
" MSNBC Breaking: Tim Johnson (SD-D) Has "Apparent" Stroke." Posted in LBN a full hour before the op here. And that doesn't even count the other half dozen threads started on the same topic. This board would use up half the bandwidth, and be a lot easier to wade through if people just used a little common sense. IE, no major news story like that (is this "major?") is going to go unnoticed for over an hour here...people are posting from all over the world. I find LBN is usually ahead of most of the major teevee outlets, too.
Sorry to rag on you lonehalf...it isn't YOU, per se...just frustrating to see as story posted six times and have people STILL asking "did you hear this???"
