Normally, I wouldn't be interested in discussing 2008. We just got through one election and I need a break for pete's sake. As soon as the 2008 election is over is the media going to start babbling endlessly about 2010?!
However, in light of Senator Bayh's decision not to run, I've decided to post my viewpoint of the candidates and where they stand. It's still extremely early and things can change several times over before the election so this is little more than gossip.
Annouced candiacies:
Tom Vilsack
Extremely likely they'll run:
Hillary Clinton Barack Obama John Edwards
Very likely they'll run:
Wesley Clark Joe Biden Bill Richardson
*While it is highly likely the three mentioned above will run, they may change their minds if their stature in the polls do not improve any in the coming months
Probably won't run:
John Kerry Al Gore
*I like John Kerry a lot but the last three months have been very difficult for him and he may be seriously reconsidering his presidential aspirations. Al Gore has repeatedly said that he won't run and I have no reason not to believe him. I don't even think he wants to run for president.
Won't run:
Evan Bayh Russ Feingold Mark Warner

1. Shouldn't you include one Dennis Kucinich? |

I mean the media will ignore him soon enough.....but DUers certainly don't need to be the ones starting the trend though! :(
Should be listed under "Announced Candidacy" I do believe.
