If Al Gore decides not to run, I will back Kucinich. |
|
It is still very early. It is not even 2008 yet. Even though I have voiced my hope that Al Gore will run in the next Democratic nomination for President, if Gore does not then I will be backing Dennis Kucinich for the nomination. I would do this only on principle and the fact that I have yet to see any signs or indication that the Democrats will be pulling our troops out of Iraq. All I can say is that the Democrats best better listen to the voters. The people want the troops out NOW. I am sick of this "we broke it yet we must fix it." attitude. This is "Vietnam with Sand" as an former co-worker who is a Vietnam Vet told me. So in 2008, I am not going to make any mistakes in voting and I will be on a strict progressive line this time around.
There is still time left and I will wait for Gore for the time being. If Gore gets in, I will back Gore. If not then Kucinich gets my backing. I like both men and I will do my best to support their agenda.

2. I will not vote for Hillary either. |
|
I just won't. And if people on here have a problem with that then tough crap! Giving Hillary the nomination will give the GOP 4 more years in the White House. I am convinced of that.

Like I said, it's on principle. I would like to see Kucinich win though.

5. Ok. Who will you back after the primaries? |
|
I love Kucinich and he won my caucus in my little bitty blue section of Kansas. It was obvious that Kerry was going to be the candidate, but we at least wanted delegates supporting Kucinich's position at the convention. So, what happens for you after the primaries?
Hillary is close to the bottom of my favorite list for those running or considering it, but I will still back her if she gets the nod.

7. Too early to say but.... |
|
if Hillary gets it I will not back her or vote for her. I am not going to bang my head against a wall like I did in 2000 or 2004. Tough if anybody hates what I say.

I hate to see your vote go to the other side (even if it's unintentional, as in a Green vote), but I respect your decision. It sucks that some of our dem leaders don't seem to recognize the position they are putting a lot of voters in. I guess they think that for every dem who won't vote for them, there are a couple of rethugs that will. It's frustrating and downright infuriating at times.

9. Even some of the Democrats are out of touch with ordinary people. |
|
I hate to say it but it's true. I would like to see some of them walk a couple of miles in my shoes or anybody else who has to struggle daily or walk a mile in the boots of the soldier stationed in Iraq right now. I think they would understand a whole lot better the situation we all find ourselves in.

6. This is basically my position as well |

I will, however, vote for the Democratic candidate after the convention.
