Will Gates quit before he even gets started? Will Gates let it be know publicly that he said no more troops in Iraq?
What happens if Gates finds out he really is "just a bump on a log?"
I think Gates being in the mix makes it very interesting. If he weren't, it would just be assumed that Bush would get his way as usual. But I think Gates puts a new wrinkle in it all. He does represent the Iraq Study Group.
