1. Life would be easier for all of us
if we had dropped out of school in second grade.

2nd grade is much to early. 8th would have been a good 'checkout
point' for me.

Life was so innocent until "high school"!

Of course, that was 30 years ago so by now, perhaps your are right...2nd grade and out!

:)

4. Iraq has had its own Christian minority (Eastern Orthodox) for
over 1500 years. Sorry, Islam won that one.

5. Okay....THAT is why I gave up on organized religion.
I'm sorry if I offend some people of faith in saying this, but if you think religion is the answer to every problem facing your life or the world, then your religion has crossed over from being a good thing into being a pathology.

It's the ultimate copout. Instead of doing the work that it takes to live in harmony with other cultures, they would rather just change everyone into a carbon copy of themselves.

And it is so damned arrogant and condescending toward others. Everyone else has to change to accommodate me.

I can't stand that attitude.

Apologies to G.B. Shaw.

16. Let's see, "the message of Jesus Christ"
1. Love God.
2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Naaah, it'll never work!

Geez, was that guy a socialist, or what? "Give to everyone who begs from you, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Love your enemies. Do good to those who curse you and pray for those who abuse you." I mean, what kind of nonsense is that?! And how could this kind of message possibly be spread at the point of a gun or by shocking and awing with lots and lots of bombs? I'm sure that Mr. Hayes has something very different in mind when he's talking about the message of Jesus Christ.
