The $100 billion Supplemental for Iraq War ?
Would you vote for it or against it? What would be your response when you were accused of not "supporting" the troops?

I think the Democrats have a very good reason not to vote for the appropriation. We just went thru the budget process. The President and the Republican Congress could have asked for more money at that time. However, they were too busy bragging about how much they had cut the deficit, as a political issue in the last election.

So they were either lying about their budget numbers, or they were deceiving the people with intent to add the "supplemental" so it would not be counted on the huge budget deficit. After all, if you add $170 billion to the deficit, it is no longer "cut in half", as Mr Bush bragged. Which is it?

The Democrats should not vote for anything until they take a very close look at the money that has already been appropriated and spent in Iraq. Let Mr Bush get his panties in a knot, if he wishes. He is no longer calling the shots. He can be assured, we will not leave the troops without the money they need to defend themselves.
