"Christians" are waging the war for Christmas at Wal-Mart

The parking lot was packed this AM as I drove by after picking up my newspapers. The good "christians" are packed in the big box hunkered down buying all the electronic gear available and scarfing up on last minute sales all in an effort to save Christmas. How could we possibly compete with smiley faces and always low prices in an effort to do away with a "christian" Christmas? Jesus is certainly in good hands with 21st century American "Christians."

Is Christmas in some kind of danger? I'm guessing it'll be around for a few years yet. I think a "War on Christmas" would be the same kind of pointless morass as the "War on Drugs", just a little less bloody.

That said, I think Walmart would be a nightmare for the next few days, shoppers today and tomorrow, then the gift exchanging on the 26th.

I'm going to enjoy visiting some relatives and friends, and enjoy the days off work. I just hope I've cached enough wassail to see me through.
